In December, 1921 National Spinning was born. Starting as a worsted wool comber, spinner, and dyer with manufacturing facilities in Jamestown, NY and offices in New York City, sales were originally concentrated in the US Northeast and Midwest. Since then, National Spinning has changed with the times to remain an essential link in the US textile supply-chain.
Today our company produces long staple and short staple yarns from a wide selection of raw materials for a diverse range of products sold around the world. Our Carolina Nonwovens division processes reclaimed and virgin fibers into pads and rolls for acoustic insulation, bedding, and geotextile applications. Our Hampton Art division sells a wide line of creative products to crafts retailers. As an ESOP company, our employees participate in our success.
We celebrate our founders, pay tribute to our owner-associates throughout the years, and remain grateful for the American free-enterprise system that makes it all possible. National strives to maintain its track record of being responsive to the market and shareholders by
- Insistence on high quality-standards
- Promotion of a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace
- Commitment to strong trade relationships
- Attention to financial strength
A big THANK YOU to all who make this anniversary of our founding possible. Long may the National Spinning name continue to loom large in the pantheon of great US companies.
